Cabbage chutney


We need:



Cabbage 2cups
Green chillies 8
Udad dal 1sp
Sesame seeds 2sps
Cumin seeds 2sps
Haldi 1/4 sp
Salt to taste
Oil 2sps
Cilantro 1/4 cup


For tempering we need:

Cumin seeds 1/2 sp
Mustard seeds 1/2 sp
Red chillies 2
Curry leaves 4
Udad dal 1/2 sp
Oil 2sps
Garlic cloves 4



Method:




Cut cabbage to small pieces.
Heat oil in pan and add cabbage and choppes green chillies.
Now add sesame seeds, cumin seeds, haldi, salt, udad dal and garlic.
Cook till cabbage is soften.
Cool and grind it to paste and add thinly chopped cilantro.
Now make a tempering. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chillies and udad dal.
Add this tempering to chutney.
This chutney can be served with rice, dosa ,idly etc..
