Shahi Pulao

Shahi Pulao is one of the simplest pulao to be made. Can be served with any veg or non veg gravy curry.

We need:


Basmathi rice 2 cups
Onion slices 1/2 cup
Green chilies 3
Cilantro chopped 1/4 cup
Mint chopped 1/4 cup
Jeera / cumin 1/2 sp
Shah jeera 1/4 sp
Cloves 2
Cinnamon 1/2 inch thick stick 1
Bay leaf 1
Cardamom 2
Salt to taste
Oil 14 cup
Garam masala powder 1/2 sp


Method:


Wash and soak rice in water for 30 minutes.
Heat pan add oil , jeera and shah jeera.
Now add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf and green chilies.
Saute for a minute and add sliced onions.
Cook till golden brown.
Now add chopped mint and cilantro leaves.
Mix well and add soaked rice without water.
Fry for few minutes  and add 3 1/2 cups water.
Cook on low flame will done.
Garnish with chopped mint and cilantro.
