Mooli Paratha / Radish Paratha ( Punjab Special)

Mooli or radish paratha is yummy and delicious Indian flat  bread which is very popular in Punjab, India. This recipe varies from different regions, some stuff the paratha and some mix the grated radish in the dough itself to make it easy to prepare. This is a perfect breakfast dish which is not only healthy but also a filling dish. Perfect to pack for lunch boxes or for a long journey.

In North India, Mooli or Radish is used to make curry, pakoda, salads, pickles or parathas. In Southern part of India, radish is the principal ingredient in making Sambar.  So today for day 3 of Blogging Marathon for the theme " Breakfast dishes from different regions", am here with a yummy dish " Mooli ka Paratha" which is very popular in Punjab. Here goes the recipe..........

Lets prepare dough first.
Add 1 spoon oil or ghee and salt  to wheat flour.
Add water and make it a nice and smooth dough.
Dough should not be too soft.
Grate radish and set aside.
Squeeze out the excess water from grated radish.

Mix it thoroughly.
Take the  dough of 2 equal portions and make them as chapati.

Now cover that chapati with other rolled chapati and seal the edges.
Roll it again gently.
Heat non stick tawa and cook the paratha on medium flame.

Whenever I make mooli parathas I add the grated mooli and some leaves to the dough and then make parathas. I like your version of stuffing the parathas with the mooli. Will try out this version next time.
