Fafda

Hello friends,

Today is the 1st day of Blogging Marathon# 9 and this time I chose Regional Special as my theme. And am here with the Gujarati cuisine......... Today I made a very popular snack called Fafda. Here is the recipe.......

We need:

Besan or chickpea flour 2cups
Bicarbonate Soda 1/4sp
Ajwain 1/4 sp
Haldi 1/4 sp
oil to deep fry
Salt to taste

Method:

Mix besan, salt, soda, ajwain, 1sp oil together in a bowl.
Add water and knead into soft dough.
Take a small portion of dough and place it on a greased surface and with base of your palm flattern the dough and cut long strips out of it.
Deep fry them over medium heat untill crisp and let them cool.
Fafda is ready to serve with spicy chutney or fried green chillies.
