Strawberry Syrup

Homemade fresh strawberry syrup is an easy recipes with just 4 ingredients. Just add all the ingredients into pan, cook, cool and use it, as simple as that. Perfect topping for pancakes, ice creams, waffles, cheese cakes and many more. Can also be added to cocktails or mocktails too.
I have used this sauce to make Strawberry Virgin Mojito.

This recipe goes to Week 2, day 1 of Blogging Marathon 101 under the theme " Condiments".

Ingredients:

Fresh Strawberries chopped 1 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Lime juice 1 tbsp
Water 1/2 cup

Preparation:

Add all the ingredients into a sauce pan and bring it to boil.
Once the mixture starts to boil reduce the flame and continue cooking until strawberries are mushy.
Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for sometime.
Now using potato masher, mash the mixture to become thick paste.
Let the syrup  cool completely before transferring into any  bottle to store in refrigerator.
This sauce can be drizzled on ice cream, pancake, cheese cakes or waffles.
Can also be  added to any drinks.

Good condiment to have on hand. I made roasted strawberries once, it was more like a chunky strawberry syrup and enjoyed it a lot.
